In 2008, and again in 2010, ArtSS has sponsored sculpture competitions which have drawn entries from a large geographical area. The sculptures of the ten finalists of the 2008 contest were on display on the grounds of the Sandy Springs Public Library until late 2009. The winning sculptures of both contests were acquired by ArtSS and donated to the City of Sandy Springs for permanent outdoor public display.
