Past Exhibits

Goldstein Art Photography’s exhibit began on  April 11th and ends on June 30th 2024.
In the artists’ words:
We have been taking photos together since our honeymoon in the mid-90s and have captured some of the most incredible locations in the world; distinct moments of natural beauty as well as outstanding examples of man-made design.”

DAKARO’s exhibit began on  February 1st and ended on March 31st 2024.
In the artist’s words:
I’m known for creating thought provoking visuals that inspire and promote diversity in perception.

Diane Shaftman’s exhibit began on  November 15th  and ended on December 31st 2023.
In the artist’s words:
“Beauty and emotion speak to the soul; and in my work I try to express that passion with artistry and creativity. My hope is that the viewer can experience the feelings and stories I strive to bring to life on canvas… from their beginnings to their completed state.”

Diana Toma’s exhibit began on  August 29th  and ends on November 1st 2023.
In the artist’s words:
“With this selection of paintings on display titled ‘On the cusp between abstraction and realism’ I am exploring ways to merge abstract intuitive painting with portraiture. When looking at my paintings ask yourself these questions: If you could imagine yourself within the artwork, what sounds would you hear? How would you feel? What would you be?”

The Fran Scher exhibit kicked off with an artist reception on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. A Sandy Springs resident, her current focus is abstract art.
In the artist’s words:
“When people ask: what does abstract art mean? My reply is: what does music mean?  It is about how music and art make you feel. It is a dialogue that the artist begins and the viewer gets to finish. The dialogue is different every time you view the art, not because. anything changes on the canvas, but because of what changes in you.”

The Sandy Springs City Hall Gallery resumed public art exhibitions on February 16th, 2023, featuring the works of local artist Lorraine Christie, known for her unique blend of palette knife and brush techniques.
