Iconic Commission – Sculptures at Veterans Park
Veterans Park is a symbol of honor and gratitude to those in our community who have served our country. The park is located on the parcel of land between Roswell Road, Johnson Ferry Road, and Mt. Vernon Highway. The provides a special place for residents to reflect on and commemorate our community’s veterans.
Be the Light sculpted by Curtis Pittman and Three Generations sculpted by Kevin Chambers, will serve as a powerful symbol of gratitude to Veterans living and working in Sandy Springs and be a source of inspiration for generations to come.
“Be The Light”
The true battle begins when the bullets stop flying. Choices from where life or death flow, love and fear grow. A place where the light and darkness know your name, a torch to your soul, forever burning its flame.

The park features fountains, mirroring the fountains at City Hall, as well as a memorial area dedicated to honoring our local veterans and two captivating and collaborative public art sculptures commissioned by the City of Sandy Springs.
Art Sandy Springs has been proud to partner with the city in the year-long process of commissioning these sculptures. ArtSS volunteer board members worked tirelessly through the call for entry, artist finalist review and ultimate selection of these two stunning works of art that represent and honor our brave Veterans.
